“Hello, I’m Nick Sharratt. I’m an illustrator and an author and my job is to draw pictures and create stories for children’s book.
I’d like to invite you to my exhibition which is all about me and my work. There’s a lot to find out and plenty do. You’ll see how I drew when I was a youngster and discover how I became an illustrator.
I’ll show you how I create my pictures and put a story book together and you’ll be able to do some drawing too.
I have written and illustrated at least 40 children’s books and have illustrated close to 250 more for other authors. Many of these have been translated into other languages including Dutch, Catalan and Italian.
I’ve illustrated so many different characters that it is hard to keep track of them all.
There are loads of my books to explore, lots of fun activities to do, and a whole crowd of characters to meet – some might be familiar, some you’ll be bumping into for the first time. I hope you have fun!”
